Welcome to the site supporting the 20th Anniversary of the New England Roleplaying Organization. This reunion is being organized by the players and is in no way supported or run by the National Organization, and we want to maintain a feeling of welcome to any person who has played this game over the decades. I'm not interested in politics or bad feelings. I'm only interested in a celebration of what has been a very positive and powerful thing in the lives of many.
The reunion will be held at Ye Olde Commons,120 Northside Rd, Charlton, MA 01507 on March 13 – 15.. Their phone number is: (508) 248-7075.
If you are a player who started in the first season, we are especially happy to welcome you, though we welcome players who have just played their first game as well.
We have chosen this type of forum so that you can let others know you are here and tell them something about yourself, like when you joined, what groups you have been a part of over the years, and what names your characters have had. We suggest that you make an entry of this information so that others can find you by name, by character name, by group, and so on. It will help people get excited about attending if they have an idea that specific old friends will be there.
We will have a full weekend event, from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. We will do the event this long to make it a worthwhile thing for people (like me) who have to travel a long way to attend this thing. But we will also highlight certain events at certain times for those who want to just drop in.
We expect to have food service available, including a feast, but the details on that still have to be negotiated. I also want to offer a bar open during the event so people can drink there rather than having to drive somewhere to have a drink. Details on this still have to be negotiated, too, though the licensing and permissions are there....it's just a matter of us making a deal with the camp to get it in operation.
I will accept payments for this event by paypal sent to fordivey@comcast.net. I will, once a week, post a current and complete list of people who have paid to come. Everyone, including me, will pay for this event. We will use this list to determine payments and costs. I will keep the costs of the event on this list, too, so everyone can see where we stand in terms of discounts and such. We will have some questions coming up about possible discounts, too, such as people who want to camp...we will deal with what is fair there as a group. I will certainly listen to all input.
The two costs as established now are: Attendance for the whole event is $35. If you wish to come for any part of the event and not stay over, the cost is $20. If we take in more money than the event costs, we will give you a rebate of a prorated share of the excess...no one will make a profit from this. The people who pay the $20 fee will not share in the rebate. We will also develop fees for food and any special programs we may run (God know what THEY might be at this point), but those will be posted as they are scheduled.
More later.
